Temple Boudhanath in nepal

Commonly known as Boudha, this is the largest stupa in Nepal and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the Kathmandu Valley.

Perform a Kora: Join the hundreds of pilgrims walking clockwise around the massive white dome, spinning the brass prayer wheels.
Rooftop Café Dining: The stupa is surrounded by buildings with rooftop restaurants. It is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee while looking down at the "all-seeing eyes" of the Buddha.

Monastery Visits: Explore the many monasteries (Gumbas) in the surrounding alleys to hear monks chanting and witness intricate Thangka painting.
Light a Butter Lamp: For a small donation, you can light a lamp in one of the shrines to offer a prayer for peace and clarity.

Historical & Practical Details :
History: Believed to be built in the 5th century by King Manadeva as an act of penance. Tibetan legends attribute it to an old woman named Jyajima, who asked the King for land "the size of a buffalo hide" and cleverly cut the hide into thin strips to claim a large area.
